279 Days: God Changes things
Hi Family!
Today I listened to my church CD courtesy of The Church of the Living God, and Pastor Kevin Woodgett, shout out to Sister Lydia! The topic was God changes things. Scriptures were Jeremiah 29:11, Matthew 1:18-25, and Romans 8:28. I learned a lot about "thinking I'm in control" and being faithful to God.
When I thought my life was taking a direction that I didn't like, I moved to Phoenix to "find myself". While I was there I got closer to my siblings but realized that Phoenix wasn't for me. After a year and a few months I was job searching to coming back to Ohio. The goal was Cincinnati, but I was offered a job in Dayton, Oh. I never thought I'd come to Dayton, but I loved the people and there was something about the "Community" that I accepted the job offer and now four years later.. here I is....
I should mention that since I was a child I had my life planned out. In a trapper keeper, or my Miami Memos, in a Franklin Covey planner, now my Vera Bradley... I've had a plan. But I didn't know that God had a plan for my future husband to find me at the University of Dayton. Now even I couldn't have planned that.
My best friend and matron of honor and I laughed about growing old and having a house full of cats. LOL Well she's now married to a great man of God, and soon so will I..in 279 days to be exact. My sister and matron of honor always told me to pray for my happiness, and that God would ease my mind around finding a mate..she was SO right. Another best friend (who will be married in less than a week) also shared with me that it was when she wasn't looking for a mate that her soul mate found her!
I'm so thankful that God had a plan for me for companionship, and love!
Until next time...

281 days until I say I do!
So today I was affirmed that God really does place people in your life for a reason. My fiancee is basically the bomb.com and I'm blessed to have him in my life.
We went to dinner with an old family friend of mine who's been married over 30+ years. He gave us plenty of relationship advice. One thing he mentioned was to accept your future mate for who they are. Don't marry them if you think your going to change them....cause it probably won't happen. He also said have thick skin...lol I just figga well.... He must know what he's talking about because he's been married longer than Ive been living!
I love my fiancee just how he is! And vice versa. Knowing you can be yourself no strings attached is a beautiful thing!
Until next time....
